Sing with the Toronto Choral Society
TCS is a friendly organization dedicated to encouraging the musical talents of members at every level of ability. Membership in the Toronto Choral Society's Community Choir is open to anyone who loves to sing, wishes to expand his or her musical repertoire, and wants to become a better choral singer.

If you would like to join the Toronto Choral Society's Community Choir, simply come to our first rehearsal of the 2007/2008 Fall or Spring season at 7:00 pm at Eastminster United Church, 310 Danforth Avenue (1 block west of Chester subway). No audition is required.

Rehearsals:
The Community Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, at Eastminster United Church (310 Danforth Avenue, between the Broadview and Chester subway stops), from September to June.
Concerts:
The Community Choir performs two major concerts a year, in December and June, although additional concerts and events may be added at the discretion of the Artistic Director.
Membership:
Membership in the Community Choir costs $200 per year, including a $150 membership fee and a $50 music rental fee.
New members are encouraged to join at the beginning of a rehearsal period, typically either September or January.
Board Of Directors:
The Community Choir is administered by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected at an Annual General Meeting in June. In addition, the Choir draws heavily on the interests and expertise of its members to produce concert programs, organize social events, sell tickets and CDs, and raise funds. Just as the choir strives to make a contribution to the Toronto community, members are encouraged to be active members of the choir's community.
How to Join the Choir:
To join the Toronto Choral Society's Community Choir, please call 416-410-3509 and leave your name and telephone number, or email us and you will be contacted by a choir representative.
No audition is required, but members who cannot sight read must be prepared to spend time outside of rehearsals to learn the music. For added assistance, sectional rehearsals (male voices one week, female voices the next) are often held on Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
North 44°:
North 44° is an auditioned ensemble, and membership is at the invitation of the Artistic Director. The Street Haven Women's Choir is drawn from the clients of the Street Haven at the Crossroads women's shelter.
