2011-12 Board of Directors
The Choir is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected each year at the Annual General Meeting. The members of the Board work for you, and are always happy to answer questions and make your time with TCS a fun and rewarding experience.
Erin Smith, President
Erin chairs meetings, facilitates policy development and implementation, liaises with the artistic director and oversees all operations of the choral society.
Bonnie Penfound, Vice-President
Bonnie acts for the president in her absence and supports the president and other directors as needed for effective operation of the choral society.
Sarah Elliott, Secretary
Sarah takes minutes, maintains records, files required corporate documents, maintains the TCS website and data bases, and manages phone, mail and e-mail communication.
Nancy Strader, Treasurer
Nancy prepares the annual budget, manages revenues and expenses, files tax receipts, maintains the books of the choral society and prepares financial reports and statements.
Andrew Lam, Librarian
Andrew obtains, documents, distributes and maintains all music belonging to or being used by the choral society.
Ellen Devlin, Choir Operations Co-ordinator
Ellen is responsible for all aspects of the production of the choir’s concerts and rehearsals, including venue rental, front of house operations and stage management.
Katherine Austin, Choir Relations Co-ordinator
Katherine is responsible for matters related directly to the members, such as orientation, admission, membership, newsletters and social events.
Catherine Gardner, Community Relations Co-ordinator
Catherine is responsible for external communication including audience development, concert publicity and promotion, concert programs and public relations.
Andrea Johnston, Fundraising Coordinator
Andrea coordinates all internal and external fundraising initiatives including donations, sponsorships, special events and grant applications.
Marjorie Perkins, Past President
Marjorie provides advice and support to the Board as needed and serves as board liaison with Street Haven Women’s Choir.
