William O'Meara - Accompanist, Community Choir

Accompanist to the Toronto Choral Society for over ten years, William O'Meara is a gifted keyboardist who has performed to acclaim at many of the world's most prestigious festivals and concert venues. Just some of his engagements include the Warsaw International Festival of Organ Music (Poland), Turin International Organ Festival (Italy), Bento International Organ Festival (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Piccolo Spoleto Festival (Charleston, S.C.), Harvard University Organ Society (Cambridge, MA), Fédération québécoise des amis de l'orgue (Québec), Jack Singer Hall (Calgary), and Roy Thomson Hall (Toronto).

Mr. O'Meara is also in demand by silent film festivals for his dynamic improvised accompaniments on piano and organ. Among others, he has delighted audiences at the Toronto International Film Festival, National Gallery of Canada, the Ottawa International Silent Film Festival, Pacific Cinématheque (Vancouver), and at the world's largest festival of silent films, Le Giornate del Cinema Muto (Pordenone, Italy). He is also the piano accompanist for Cinématheque Ontario (Toronto), the year-round programming arm of the Toronto International Film Festival.
